We did travel some 350 feet down into the historical site, the Himalaya tourmaline mine...Wow!

John Garsow was the first gem/gem rough dealer I had chance to
meet some 20 years ago.
I recall how he took the time to go over the material (opal) and how to orient
the stone properly for the best results.
I still have a passion for cutting opal, and today more than a few John Garsow stones are always
in our collection. Thanks John
